I love lemons! I use them in most of my drinks, including water! However, I did not know how many different ways lemons can be used while cooking. Besides making your mouth water, acidity cuts greasiness and heaviness and gives food a fresh, clean taste. Lemon juice can also change a food’s texture to fit a variety of needs, as when macerating berries, tenderizing meat, and “cooking” ceviche. Lemon juice contains citric acid, which helps break down fats, carbohydrates, and protein.
Next time you have a lady over your place for dinner and you are about to totally wreck the meal you’ve been trying to impress her with, add some lemon. It will either make it taste awesome or you already fucked the meal up. Best of luck!
