Welcome to the last part of the Berlin blog-triptych.
Berlin has many awesome little stores, where you can find jewels like this:
(“Where’s Bin Laden”)
There was one store that I liked in particular, called Neurotitan.
The staircase leading up to it was full with tags and stickers (and Djavan).
This got to be the highest concentration of ‘art’ in any staircase there is…
Then the shop itself had lots of art, too. And shirts from local designers. I told them about Proletariat, but they only buy from artists who visit them in Berlin. So, Kerry, if you’re ever in Berlin, you know where to go…
‘Backstage’ they have exhibitions of crazy art.
Apart from all the hip shops, Berlin, of course, offers some ill clubs as well.
This one was called ‘white trash’.
There were some live gigs, including the strange but great “THE SUZAN (All Girl Garage Punk From Japan)”.
This guy was walking around the audience sharing his massively long joint with just about everyone.
It was pretty dark in there, which was good, or else we might’ve discovered more disgusting things like this on the walls:
That’s one stylish drinks-table!
Upstairs there was an old & abandoned chinese restaurant where they served drinks and food.
Look at the menu (click to enlarge)and laugh your ass off at the fish&chips description!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot: Happy 50th, Sputnik!
