Last night American Nightmare (Give Up The Ghost) played their first New York City show since they disbanded abruptly in 2004. Somewhat of a legendary hardcore band, American Nightmare rose to prominence in the scene after releasing their full length record “Background Music” on Equal Vision records in 2001. The show was packed with intense energy, violent antics (stage diving, bloody faces, etc) and everything else you come to expect to see at an American Nightmare show. The band played several instrumental interludes throughout their set that made the intensity even greater when they transitioned back into their previously released songs. See below for video and another photo.
The band plays again tomorrow, Sunday at Webster Hall. Check them out if you are into the sound.
