Wikileaks – DOW Chemical tracking the YES Men & the Occupy Movement

Wow, the world really is as fucked up as the movies make it out to be. There’s a LOT of backstory to this article and hopefully you have enough desire and patience to really see what’s going on here. I’m going to give you the $2 tour…

1. In 1984, one of the worst industrial disasters ever happened in Bhopal, India, killing 12,000 people and injuring another 500,000.

2. On the 20th Anniversary of the incident, an incident DOW still hasn’t taken responsibility for, activist pranksters the YES Men somehow get on BBC news and acting as a spokesman for DOW, claim responsibility and offer a (fake) package to help all those affected by the disaster!

3. The YES MEN haven’t let up on DOW and constantly keep pranking them in order to try and promote change. DOW hired Stratfor a global intelligence agency that has been publicly called a shadow CIA by Barron’s, to keep tabs on the YES MEN, but for what reasons and to what end?

In a constantly connected world we have to be careful how much information we give out, especially when you don’t even know who might be using that information and for what purposes. I have to wonder why the following employees of DOW Chemical need to know the whereabouts of the YES Men at all times…It’s obvious the YES MEN have hit a nerve…
