I’ve never been a big fan of rum. Usually it is too sweet and doesn’t have the flavors I enjoy. I was going back and forth with a woman at the local liquor store about our shared distaste when she recommended Shipwreck. This holiday season I would pick up a bottle for yourself, a friend, a family member, etc. The flavor of this rum is great so there are a few very simple drinks you can make with it, or you can get fancy.
At the end of the day if you are looking for something to take off the edge, boil a pot of water, get out a tea cup, some honey and a shot glass. Two shots go into your tea cup, one teaspoon honey and two shots rum. Let it cool a bit then drink. Done.
It is also pretty good if you add the rum to (a hot or cold) a cider, a soft drink or a cup of ice.
I agree that this Shipwreck Spiced rum is just superb! Honestly, even if you don’t think you like rum, as you said, you will love this rum. I do! Thanks so much for spreading this good word! I guess I am prejudiced because it’s in the family!
