by Aiko, a stencil artist who began as a member of the now two-man art collective, Faile, recently exhibited some of her work at the Urban Folk Art Studios in conjunction with Brooklyn Tattoo. Aiko aka Lady Aiko, was born in Tokyo but has resided in NYC since the mid 90’s. Aiko has worked with photographer Martha Cooper on various projects and her work in this show specifically is inspired by Cooper’s photography from her book Tokyo Tattoo 1970.
