I’m pretty much against the whole streetwear culture. Does anyone else think it is weird that a lot of guys like to get on chat rooms and talk shit to each other and it’s all based on shopping?!?!?! You see with skateboard clothing all the kids are united by skateboarding so they make fun of each other for missing a landing or something. Hip Hop gear? United by Hip-Hop. You can talk all day about East Coast vs. West Coast (EAST ALL DAY!) or trade mp3’s etc. Bboy clothing….united by Bboy culture.
Then we get to Streetwear. Some might say united by the “streets.” But we all know that’s a lie. The only streets those kids know are the ones they sit on waiting in line to spend $300 on some so-called limited edition kicks while they are shopping with their buddies.
Streetwear is the official clothing of shoppers! I should tell my mom…I will say Mishka did a stellar job with this lookbook though…
