Reunited and It Feels So Good

2012 is going to be the year of the reuniting bands from ten years ago and that is AWESOME! We have Refused who released one of the most epic and ahead of its time records, The Shape of Punk to Come over 15 years ago, who just announced their reunion and spot on this year’s Coachella. At The Drive In, who later became The Mars Volta with two remaining members, announced their first show in over ten years will also be Coachella. Let’s hope At The Drive in manages to do some heavy touring! I would love to see those guys do their thing. American Nightmare, probably one of the more epic hardcore bands announced and performed their New Year’s Eve shows in Boston and LA (live video below). Keep it up A.N.! Death From Above 1979 announced they were back together in 2010 but fuck it, that is super exciting. This is a band that NIN brought on tour back in the day, with only one record out. Also, only two dudes thrashing and making all that noise is pretty impressive. DFA1979 split and formed MSTRKRFT who some of our readers are for sure familiar with. If you haven’t heard of DFA1979 or any of the other bands below, definitely check them out.

Refused – New Noise

At The Drive-In – One Armed Scissor

American Nightmare – FAREWELL

Death From Above 1979 – Romantic Rights
