Boardwalk Empire on HBO is such an impressive show, but with Scorsese at the helm, how could it not be?! If you haven’t seen the show, I highly suggest it. It is set in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in the prohibition era and follows a host of characters, but mainly focuses on Enoch “Nucky” Thompson (Steve Buscemi). The imagery, set design, costume, and acting are all on point. No wonder why the 1st episode alone cost $18 million to produce.
