Help Ben Bocko Document Oaxaca, Mexico

Our buddy Ben Bocko is taking a trip this Christmas to Mexico! No not that Mexico! Nope, not that one either! Ben is headed to Oaxaca, Mexico. Oaxaca is a beautiful part of Mexico where human habitation dates back 11,000 years! Oaxaca survived the Spanish Conquest and mulitple revolutions, earthquakes and other natural disasters.

Ben’s mission: There, I will be acquainted with the culture of Mexico and document one family in a village outside of the city. Every day I am there, my goal will be to capture their daily routines and way of life, which is so undoubtedly different from my own. I will use still images as well as video to build a compelling body of work that will hopefully speak to viewers and give them an extraordinary experience. The funds raised will be used for living expenses, food, travel, and transportation in Oaxaca, as well as for the rewards given to the backers. At the end of the trip, my finished work will be included in a group exhibition at the Manuel Alvarez Bravo Photography Center in Oaxaca, Mexico.

You can donate in increments of $1-$500 and all donators receive something in return! Visit the kickstarter link here!
