ALGORHYTHMS & NEVER FOLLOW SUIT RECAP

May 22nd, 2012 | Art, Headlines | 0 Comments

Friday night was a good night to be in Massachusetts. At Fourth Wall in Boston, JURNE and MWM opened their show entitled ALGORHYTHMS, a project the two writers have been working on for quite some time and definitely a ambitious project with the amount of work showcased. Jeff Griecci, the man behind the highly anticipated Year-Round Metal Enjoyment video, was in attendance and shot this great video to go along with the show. Check out some of my favorite pieces from the show as well. ALGORHYTHMS is on display until June 29th. Make sure you stop and check it out. Some really amazing and well executed pieces of work.

After the show in Boston, I headed up to Lowell to check out a show I contributed to with a solid bunch of writers. Here are some flicks from that event as well.

‘Never Follow Suit’ is located at the 119 Gallery in Lowell, MA @ 119 Chelmsford Street and that is up until June 18th.

KCRUSSELL: ‘Never Follow Suit’

May 14th, 2012 | Graffiti | 1 Comment

I rarely have weekends off but when I do, I try to to make the most out of them. I was anxious to get a few of my prints to 199 Gallery up in Lowell for a show I am participating in this Friday with a group of graffiti artists from Massachusetts. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have noticed a little sneak peak of the framed works. Stay tuned for more productions from me in the future. I am contributing to another show at the end of the month at the Helltown Gallery/Workshop that will include some unique prints. If you are interested in prints contact me directly at kcrussell@me.com.

These are all unframed 5×7 prints.

On my way up to Lowell, I stopped to kick it with some local writers, AKEY, PATS, and ZIEG. TENSER from Toronto was in town as well dropping some heat.

TENSER produces/contributes to this zine called FLAT BLACK.  Very high quality photographs of Toronto Graffiti. Great size. Full page spreads and 100+ pages. If interested contact directly at flatblackmagazine@yahoo.ca

Here is a flyer for Friday’s show in Lowell.

Also this Friday is a highly anticipated show from JURNE and Matt Moore at Fourth Wall in Boston.  This event is a must see.

Friends with Benefits: Recap

May 11th, 2012 | Headlines | 1 Comment

Last night was the opening for Project SF’s collaborative show ‘Friends with Benefits’. The concept of the show  was for members of Project SF to pick an artist/individual outside of the group to collaborate with. This concept echoes the roots and current focus of the collaborative process between the members of Project SF. The event included works by Marion Bolognesi, All Chrome, Jay LaCouture, MCA, Peter Pracilio, Preys UPS, and Pat Falco. Make sure to check out the show that runs until the end of the month at The Distillery, 516 E 2nd Street in South Boston.
