Last night Neon Trees played The Bowery Ballroom in New York City on the eve of their record release. Their second LP “Picture Show” is out today. There are a bunch of jams on the record and one of those is featured above.Neon Trees performed their new song “Lessons In Love”, a song also featured on the new Kaskade record (Neon Trees X Kaskade) to a sold out venue. If you dig the track pick up a copy of the record and catch the band on tour near you.
The Dirty Dishes are a Boston based band formed around the song writing of front woman Jenny Tuite. The band have been kicking ass in Boston for a while now, gracing the cover of The Weekly Dig, participating in a SXSW showcase for Converse (2011), features in Nylon Magazine and various other publications as well as participating in SXSW 2012 taking place this week in Austin Tx (show info below). Today marks the release of I Am The Avalanche’s Avalanche United. 6 years in the making, Avalanche United is everything you’ve been waiting for in a solid rock/punk record. It’s gimmick-free, like a breath of fresh air in a scene of washed up emo dudes.
My favorite tracks are “You’ve Got Spiders”, “Brooklyn Dodgers” , and “Amsterdam”. Head on over to Spotify, or their Facebook page to give it a spin, and if you like it enough you can buy it here.
It is Monday, take a hot second and discover some new music. If you don’t like what RCRD LBL has to offer then scan some other blogs, youtube, whatever. Just take a moment out of your busy day to discover something new. I bet it makes your week a lot better, regardless of how well your weeks regularly flow.
Meet all of your friend’s new favorite band, CULTS. Before even releasing a full album they were written up on Pitchfork (given a 9.something) and they played their first show over the weekend at Mercury Lounge where most of the major labels (and some indies) were represented. Hear more of their music HERE.
Band of Horses is back with a new music video for their single, Compliments, a track that will be featured on their new album Infinite Arms. I am loving this video!
