If you are just hearing about the protest that is going on in Oakland, California, there are many ways you can keep up with what is really happening on the streets. ABC 7 News has a helicopter in the air filming the events from above. There is no sound, but you can get words from the streets and the people on them through twitter by searching #occupyoakland.
Beware though, as you can tell from the story on the protester being hit by the car, there are a lot of mixed mesages going around. Also, there is supposed to be a press conference at 9:30 on that feed.

It’s weird knowing that if I still lived in Boston I would be getting arrested tonight. I’ve been glued to the police scanners as well as occupy boston’s livestream and of course their twitter as well. We were in constant contact all the way to when the police in full riot gear surrounded the park and then advanced in militaristic fashion. Read More
