Givers have a new video for their single “Meantime”. If you are unfamiliar with Givers, they are an indie pop outfit from Louisiana signed to Glassnote Records. They sound like a mix of the good parts that make up Vampire Weekend and Surfer Blood. I enjoyed watching this low budget, fun video!

After being underwhelmed for the majority of my week by god awful bands and the lack of free liquor, I headed over to Brooklyn Bowl on Saturday evening to see Vacationer. Vacationer is light-hearted, dreamy indie pop: very much the current Brooklyn sound infused with a big, bubbly bong rip.

Indie rock trio Brahms performs a stripped down version of Subtext is Deadly. I have had the pleasure of seeing this band live a few times and I have to say that I see them as one of the most promising bands coming out of New York City at the moment. Excited to see what they do next. BRAHMS
