Not cool Rick! Not cool! Apparently gays are only good enough to die for our country if they are straight. Wait..what?!?!

Robert DeNiro and Bruce Springsteen were photographed at a reception for the Kennedy Center Honors rocking the gay pride colors to express their support of gay rights to President Obama. Not only is this really cool but it is also a bit ballsy, and possibly a great way to influence future legislation. Obviously it would be hard for people of such social status to attend rallies/protests/etc so this is their way of saying we’re for gay rights, just thought ya should know! Way to go guys! The Westboro Baptist Church is protesting the Hillel house at Boston University today. If you aren’t familiar with this “church” they are the intellectual giants behind the “God Hates Fags” movement. I don’t think anyone should counter protest these fools. I say treat them like a wack band at TT the Bears…just don’t show up. There’s nothing more depressing then taking a day off of work to spread some hate and not have anyone there to get mad at you.
