Starting at $140 you can purchase an 18 tooth cog by Coasties that will allow you to have the fixed gear aesthetic but with breaks and free wheel coasting ability. Montague has come out with an awesome folding fixed gear entitled “Boston”. The idea behind the bike is that many city dwellers are stuck in small apartments with no where safe to keep their wheels.
