When Edgar Allen Poe was 18 and living in Boston he wrote his first book “Tamerlane and Other Poems.” Only 40 to 50 were published and only 12 exist today. Christie’s auction house has one coming up on the blocks and they expect to sell it for $500k-$750k. It really is interesting how humanity likes limited edition and collections. You can find this book at Amazon.com for like $100 yet this one is worth 5000 times that. Now that the Kindle and other electronic books are coming out it might be time to beef up your hardcopy collection.
