I think i just watched this film without blinking once. Tattoos are something that i respect, collect, are addicted to (at a modest pace) and i believe in the idea of them being important in the process to becoming who you are. Films such as this one, really give you a amazing view on how powerful this art form really is. They bring up the points of “who ownes the artwork” and “why is it still looked at like a underground thing, when its the most popular form of art in the world?”. Check it out its definitely not a waist of 45min!!!!

Stumbled upon this dude’s work from my lovely lady, Kate. I was instantly drawn to this dude’s style. His style is loose and sketchy with heavy influences of pop culture and comic books. Bright colors mixed with subdued textures make his illustrations pop. He has a blog here and his site is located here.

Know your tattoo history, these are two of the best in our time.

If you don’t know the difference between Don Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier, you are on the wrong blog. At least educate yourself and watch the Ed Hardy documentary “Tattoo the World”. I was able to see him speak a couple years back at the MFA in Boston about Japanese prints. If you get the chance to see him talk it is worth your time. Bob Roberts should also need no introduction. These two are beasts in the industry that deserve the utmost respect. Here is a brief interview with the two concerning a past show.
